Primary Election August 10, 2010
Jefferson County is mail-in ballot only for the primary election. Completed ballots may be mailed back to the Clerk and Recorder's office or dropped off at a specified location.
Deadline for mail-in ballots: Ballots must be received by the Clerk and Recorder’s office no later than 7:00 pm on August 10, 2010 (postmarks do not count).
There are six locations throughout the county where voters may drop off their voted ballots if they choose not to return them in the mail. Ballot drop-off locations are open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday, August 7 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and Election Day from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Unaffiliated and wish to change your party affiliation? If you are unaffiliated and wish to change your party preference, you still have time to vote in the primary, but hurry! You may change your party affiliation at www.co.jefferson.co.us/elections/
The last day to change from unaffiliated in order to vote in the primary is August 10, 2010. However, in an Elections Division Press Release on July 8, voters are discouraged from waiting until Election Day to affiliate.
